Knowsley Development Trust was awarded the highest possible accolade for a UK Business, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II announced that KDT was one of only ten companies to win the Queens Award for Sustainable Development on the occasion of the majesty’s official birthday on April 21st this year.

There are three company awards, Sustainable Development, Innovation and International Trade. This year 10 companies won the Sustainable Development award of which KDT was the only North West business to achieve what is recognised as the most complex of the awards as the applicants are judged on Economic, Environmental, Social and Leadership measures, where as the other two categories focus on what can be described as measurable single criteria.

In the Innovation sector KDT was proud to hear that one of its long standing and highly successful tenants Aerelink Ltd was successful in this category making 2009 a year of double celebration for both KDT and Aerelink - North Mersey Business Centre’s first tenant to win the Queens Award for Innovation.
