North Mersey Business Centre was established by Towerhill Development Trust Ltd, a not for profit organisation, in 1990.

The aim was to provide affordable offices and light industrial units on easy in, easy out terms geared to start up and small expanding businesses.

In 1999 the Company changed its name to Knowsley Development Trust Ltd in order to reflect the potential for expanding services across the borough.

The Company is structured with a Board of Directors, up to thirteen people can serve on the Board, which decides on strategic issues, and perform a monitoring role overseeing the management of the site.

On a day to day basis the Centre is managed by a team of eight staff who not only manages the resources and property but also offer a range of services to tenants.
