Corporate responsibility

Many smaller companies may justifiably be mystified by the term ‘corporate responsibility’ and it is little wonder, however our understanding of this term is simple and others would do well to adopt a similar approach.

First of all you need to understand how your services, products or profits can make an impact not just on the shareholders or owners but on the people who you could describe as stakeholders as well. North Mersey Business Centre’s ambition was to provide the best quality service possible through the provision of property geared to both the business start up market and those who required the space to expand.

To do everything in our gift to facilitate this support which in turn would result in a profit that can then be managed to do additional work within the society we service. Our sponsorship and stewardship of Knowsley Enterprise Academy and Your Travel Borough Wide are excellent examples of this approach.

The second and most important aspect of adopting our approach is to be determined through teamwork which should run through the company like a stick of Blackpool Rock and to persist when other around would rather quit, that way we make sure the maximum benefit are delivered to those we serve.

“Through the adoption of a pre-tenancy environmental assessment there are no noise, noxious or hazardous waste polluting business’ at North Mersey Business Centre.

Since 2007/2008 we have offset our carbon footprint via an ongoing landscaping, tree and shrub planting regime resulting in 23% of the whole site being a green area.”
